She traces her interest in King Arthur to a book called <i>King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table</i> which was given to her brother at the same time that she received <i>The Adventures of Raggedy Ann</i>, and says, 'King Arthur came to life for me in a way that Raggedy Ann never could.' She has published several books for young readers."
