Assuming that the author of letters for 'Perry Rhodan' and the nonfiction author are one and the same, he was 1993 living in Dautphetal, Lower Saxony, Germany. He studied physics at Technische Universität Darmstadt (Hessen, Germany) and became afterwards a doctor of astronomy. From April 2019 on he was the chief editor for the astronomical magazine "Sterne und Weltraum" and from the May 2024 on he is co-chief editor for the magazine "Spektrum der Wissenschaft".
