- "Stanzas" -- "In youth I have known one..."
- "A Dream" -- "A wilder'd being from my birth..."
- "The Happiest Day — the Happiest Hour" -- "The happiest day — the happiest hour..." (first line of this always used in some form as its title).
- The preface (not to be confused with "Preface") is on unnumbered p. iii.
- The end "Notes" are about "Tamerlane", and Poe did not include them in subsequent publications of this poem.
- Thought to have been published June-July 1827; the cover only states 1827.
