The publisher's information gives the author's name as Henry Beam Piper, but the transcribed text as H. Beam Piper. There are five interior illustrations, uncredited but signed. The signature might be "Rogers", & cover art for that issue of Astounding is credited to Hubert Rogers, according to its ISFDB listing. (This story was the cover story.)
