• "First Edition" so stated on copyright page. • Tuck has the date as 1949 • Artist credited on front jacket flap. "Daddy!" by Jack L. Chalker in Fantasy Newsletter No. 61, August 1983 states that 1000 copies were clothbound by Fantasy. It also gives the date of publication as 1949. In 1952 another 1000 copies were clothbound by Fantasy without the "First Edition" on the copyright page, and 500 copies were sold for Pick-a-Book. • The table of contents lists the Foreward [sic] on page ix. However there are no pages with Roman numbers.
