• The printing date and number are not stated. The publication states "Copyright © 1970 by Peter Dickinson", "Library of Congress Catalog Card No. 70-117021", "First American Edition", and "Printed in the United States of America".
• The source for the 1970-00-00 date used with this publication record is the from stated LCCN. While it's not been confirmed that 70-117021 is from the Gollancz edition this is unlikely for a UK publication. LCCN: 70-117021 is not found on the The Library of Congress we site. The web site has a record for the Gollancz edition under {{LCCN|72-543393}} implying that the publication does not state an LCCN and that someone then entered record using a 1972 issued LCCN.
• The back jacket flap states "Jacket design by Eros Keith". A signature is not visible. At the time this publication was entered ISFDB listed one cover for Eros Keith in 1984. It's assumed he is also the artist for this publication.
• Note that this publication does not contain any interior artwork such as the Robert Hales work that's apparently in the Gollanz edition.
