According to Gus Fowler Wright, S. Fowler Wright's grandson and literary executor, the first edition was pulped due to legal issues. The book was reissued almost immediately as a "revised second edition" with the corrected text. Only a couple of copies survive of the original; the text that Wildside Press published in 2009 follows the revised edition (relayed by Robert Reginald.)
