Blake; or, The Huts of America

Part one (chapters 1-23 and 29-31) of the novel was serialized in The Anglo-African Magazine, January to July, 1859. The rest of part one was first published when Delany reprinted the story in The Weekly Anglo-African, November, 1861, to May, 1862.
The whole novel was not published in book form until 1970.

1970 is the date of first book edition. Floyd J. Miller rediscovered this work, which was originally published in serial form in 1859, and, in fuller shape, 1861-62. The cover gives "Edited by Floyd J. Miller" as the integral part of the art composition. On the Copyright page (among others) : "Introduction © 1970 by FLoyd J. Miller" and "First digital-print edition 2000" and {{LCCN|79-119677}}. The novel had not been completed by the author.
