This was originally written as an online serial over a year while the author was attending college, from 1997 to 1998. She collected it and revised it into novel form in November 2005 in a print-on-demand edition. She says that she has made several more changes over the months as the book has been reprinted (this September 2006 printing has new cover art), but she does not consider any of these to be a new edition..
