Date estimated by WorldCat. The book says "Illustrated by Kay Nielsen and V. Candell" (Candell did the endpapers and cover, Nielsen did the interior drawings and color plates), but the Wikipedia page on the main story says this edition was "written and illustrated" by Nielsen, but more likely edited (i.e. stories chosen by) Nielsen. The original stories come from "Norske folke-eventyr", in Norwegian, by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Engebretsen Moe. Most of the stories were translated by Sir George Webb Dasent for his "Popular Tales from the Norse,", while "The Three Princesses in the Blue Mountains" was translated by David Nutt, and "Prince Lindworm" is "newly translated" for this volume (translator unspecified). Thus we attribute the individual stories to those translators. (Data from Wikipedia, WorldCat, and the verification copy.)
