The price was 1 guinea per volume, i.e. 21 shillings. The price listed above is for the full 10 volumes, without conversion to pounds.
"Limited to one thousand numbered sets." At head of title: "A plain and literal translation of the Arabian nights' entertainments."
"From the more than 30,000 prospectuses sent, 2,000 orders were received for the first 10 volumes at one guinea per volume. The edition was, however, kept at 1,000 sets." (Christie's)
Publisher as "By the Kamashastra Society for private subscribers only", but also listed by some libraries as by "The Burton Club".
