• All uncredited essays are filler articles, and they were probably written by editor Bates.
• "The Cauldron" is the magazine's letter column, and its full title with its subtitle is "The Cauldron: A Meeting Place for Sorcerers and Apprentices".
• Thomas McCartin has a four verse quatrain buried in his letter, it is untitled so the first line is quoted.
