Certainly the Disney story is usually published as "One Hundred and One ..." or "101 ...", and novel is not. WorldCat records with those title/headings rather than "Hundred and One" or "The Hundred and One" routinely report publications of the Disney story rather than the novel, and vice versa, but that may not be universal.
