  • This 12-page pamphlet contains a 3-page essay by Hugo Gernsback followed by a 9-page bibliography of all the science fiction stories (as classified by Gernsback) which were published in Gernsback-edited magazines prior to his 1926 launch of Amazing Stories.
  • In his essay, Gernsback notes, "The list which follows was compiled by Mr. Theodore Engel, of New York. It took him several months to go through all the old bound volumes in order to complete his work, and our grateful thanks are due him for his labors."
