The ToC and copyright page (but not the story title page) list "The Souls of Drowning Mountain" as "The Souls of Drowned Mountains." "Dear Friends" is a letter to the IRS dated March 27, 1975 and "released" by _Copperhead_ in 1976. "Poetry Makes Nothing Happen" could be construed as a review of _Reasons for Going It on Foot_ by William Pitt Root, but is really a short (~2 page) essay on poetry in general. It is described on the copyright page as having been "originally published as a broadsheet in a private printing [with no date given] and has not been previously collected."
