Most of the chapters/essays collected in this book are revised versions of or grew out of papers given on a conference titled 'Worlds Out of Joint: Reimagining Philip K. Dick' held in November 2012 in Dortmund, Germany. They are organized in four parts, each consisting of three essays: I History, II Theory, III Adaptation & IV Exegesis.
