There are multiple illustrations throughout the volume, but they are uncredited. Some of them have a partial signature which matches that of the Victorian English illustrator Stanley L. Wood (signed as "S L Wood"), who is known to have done 100 illustrations for one of the American editions of this series. All interior illustrations are by Wood.
