• The title page credits illustrations by Will Crawford, and the plate facing page 14 appears to be signed by Crawford, illegibly. No other signature is apparent. The interior illustrations are black and white line drawings. The plate facing p14 is cover illustration for a 2013 CreateSpace ed. (see).
• SFE3 credits cover artist Will Crawford. Cover illustration is signed in faint block capitals, "Dan Sayre Groesbeck"--whom the Library of Congress (LCCN, below) notes as one uncredited contributor. Illustration and design match the UK ed., with border red rather than grey--evidently as matching paper pasted on a cloth cover that is red rather than grey (front and back covers of both eds., no spines, viewed at HathiTrust).
