Publication date not stated. WorldCat OCLC 12566935 gives "[1904]": publication date known but not stated on title page. Source unknown. That date is printed only in the dedication that closes "Montparnasse, 1904." --t.p. subtitle: Or The Bastable Children in Search of a Fortune --t.p. credits "illustrations by Gordon Browne and Lewis Baumer" --Illustrations, [13-14], lists 33 (frontispiece plus 32 by caption and page number). Frontispiece and dozens of others are clearly signed "GB". The first two of 32 are clearly signed "Lewis Baumer". Several are not clearly signed. Cover illustration is the one listed as page 94, captioned "It seems the sailor was asleep, but of course we did not know, or we should not have disturbed him." It is signed "GB".
