{{OCLC|8555758}} indicates a 1903 published by Donohue and with a title of The Surprising Adventures of the Magical Monarch of Mo and His People. However, both Bienvenue and Schmidt's The Book Collector's Guide to L. Frank Baum and Oz and Bibliographia Baumiana by Thompson, Hanff and Maund, state that the first Donohue edition was not published until ca. 1913. They further indicate no variation in title and a 1903 variant with the alternate title should not be added.
