Published summer 1886 Contento and Tuck have 1885 Price 1/- paper, 2/- cloth --inferred from and stated in multiple newspaper advertisements WorldCat library record 12298293 reports: -- "[1886]" -- "Cassell's red library, [22]" -- "Series note also on cover." Presumably the book is not dated or numbered on the title leaf, perhaps not on the cover or endpapers. Several known advertisements of Cassell's books in 1885 to 1887 newspapers do list the volumes already published in this series, none as numbered. In Sunday newspaper The Observer 13 vols are listed 1885-11-29 p8, and 26 vols (25 works) listed 1886-12-05 p8. This one is 22nd volume from the bottom of the latter list, which implies summer 1886 publication.
