- Reginald describes this as a novel. Clute/Grant and Bleiler list it as a collection. Bleiler provides three parenthetical titles (The Tale of Nera, The Romance of Angus and Caer, & The Story of Midir and Etain) which does not match up to the book's layout.
- Book is separated into two parts. Part 1, The Feast of Samhain, is 40 chapters (pages 1-121) and Part II, The Feast of Lugnasa, is 50 chapters (pages 123-288).
