A two-scene play, roughly based on Oscar Wilde's Selfish Giant, but without the religious elements.
Available online at HathiTrust.

  • First edition.
  • The primary story and narrative are by Julia Ellsworth Ford. Witter Bynner constructed the rhymes, which are used by certain characters regularly throughout the play. Thus while the book only credits Ford as the author, and credits "Poems by Witter Bynner". In lieu of an easy way to add that credit here, we include him as a co-author.
  • Pagination begins with Roman numerals for pages i-viii, but then continue with p. 9. Thus a more precise pagination count might be viii+(9-78), but viii+78 would be inaccurate, so we list it simply as "78". The "+[12]" refers to 12 leaves of plates.
Title is just "Snickerty Nick" on the title page. Price from: https://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83030431/1919-12-07/ed-1/seq-70/.
