• Print-on-demand facsimile of the original Thrilling Publication pulp magazine. Reprint of volume 3, number 3.
• Cover states that the title of this magazine is Captain Future Man of Tomorrow while the contents page lists the magazine as Captain Future: Wizard of Science, only Captain Future is used.
• All artwork is unsigned, credit is assigned per the artist's signature.
• Quest Beyond the Stars also has sixteen drop-down micro- illustrations. These illustrations open each chapter of the novel and are migratory, having appeared in multiple issues of Thrilling's sf magazines.
• Quest Beyond the Stars also has character portraits of the novel's major characters on p 17 (Captain Future), p 26 (Otho), p 33 (Grag), and p 42 (Simon Wright, the Living Brain). These illustrations are also migratory, and are not listed.
• "Under Observation" is this magazine's letter column, and it starts off with half page essay by Sergeant Saturn. Saturn is a house name, and it is usually used by the editor.
• The atlas on page 97 is unsigned.
• The contents page indicia lists the original printing date of December 1941.
