This is an adaption of Jules Verne title Vingt mille lieues sous les mers by Vic Crume.
This adaptation begins:
"The year 1866 was marked by a series of remarkable incidents, and a mysterious phenomenon that excited people everywhere. It affected seafaring men particularly - shipping merchants, common sailors, ships' captains, skippers and officers of the American as well as many European navies. Their governments were equally concerned.".
There are two parts with 17 and 18 unnumbered chapters with titles respectively.
