This is a signed and numbered promotional booklet produced by Golden Gryphon Press before its publication of the Ian R. MacLeod collection Breathmoss and Other Exhalations. It is possible it was produced for distribution to key influencers at the 2003 World Fantasy Convention, at which another Golden Gryphon collection won an Award.
- This trade paper booklet is slightly smaller than, and -- other than the font for Ian R. MacLeod's name on the front, and the publisher info on the back -- has the same wraparound cover as Golden Gryphon's 2004 publication Breathmoss and Other Exhalations.
- Preceding the title page is Golden Gryphon's usual page with a gryphon image holding the series number of the publication. For this booklet, the series number is "A".
- Date on the title page is "2003".
- On copyright page: "First Edition", "Breathmoss Excerpt copyright (c) 2003 by Ian R. MacLeod", "Cover illustration copyright (c) 2003 by Bob Eggleton", and "Edited by Marty Halpern".

- The excerpt on pages 3-12 is section "1" of the novella as it appears on pages 3-12 of the collection, though with slightly different layout.
- On the first un-numbered page following the excerpt is a short, un-titled bio of Ian R. MacLeod. It is similar to, but slightly different than, the short bio on the collection's jacket back flap.
- Following the bio is a signed limitation page. It has the signatures of both MacLeod and Eggleton, plus "This is copy [hand-written number] of 100 signed and numbered copies".
- On the last page, following the limitation page: "Breathmoss and Other Exhalations a new short-story collection by Ian R. MacLeod Forthcoming from Golden Gryphon Press June 2004".
