• "First Ace printing: September 1981" stated on the copyright page with a complete number line: "2 4 6 8 0 9 7 5 3 1".
• Cover art is not credited, and there is no visible signature.
• "Interior Illustrations by T. Windling stated on the title page. They are also copyrighted to T. Windling on the copyright page.
• The fourteen pages before the first numbered page are not numbered, and have been added to this record to place the unpaginated three-page introduction.
• Every story has a full-page B&W illustration by Terri Windling (credited as "T. Windling), all but one on the page facing their title page. The illustration for "An Islandian Tale: The Story of Alwina" faces the introduction and forms the first of two title pages. The first, on page 163, gives the title "An Islandian Tale", and the second, on page 164, is titled "The Story of Alwina". The text of the poems by Yeats and Taylor are embedded in the illustration. Le Guin's poem is not illustrated.
• Miguel Ángel Asturias's name is printed "Miguel Angèl Asturias" at the head of the story.
• Cover artist George de Hoff inferred from credit given in Elsewhere: Vol II, and matching cover signatures (a lower case 'd' for de Hoff).
