Printed on a better quality paper that does not brown easily. ________________There is also a Weekly Reader Children's Book Club edition that also states "FIRST EDITION" on the copyright pages. It is a book club edition though and is not a true first edition of this book. It is printed on cheap paper that browns easily and is bound in a beige or tan textured paper over boards with black stamping. The trade issue is fairly scarce, and the book club is fairly plentiful. Weekly Reader had a bad habit of not removing the words FIRST EDITiON from the copyright pages of books that they reprinted.
