The 2025 title date is to reflect the copies that the author personally arranged to be printed (per this Substack post), rather than the cancelled Unbound publication.
Data originally from Amazon.com as of 2025-12-01; updates from Amazon UK and Waterstones as of 2025-12-08. Information about this publication is inconsistent and somewhat dubious:
- Amazon.com reported a publication date of 2026-01-06, later than all other sources, but possibly reflecting trans-Atlantic shipping timescales.
- Amazon UK reports a publication date of 2025-10-02, but says that any orders will be delivered between late February and mid June 2026. It also reports a shorter length of 228 pages.
- Waterstones has the same 2025-10-02, but states "let us notify you when this item is next available to order."
- Blackwell's does not list this ISBN.
- Per Wikipedia, the publisher Unbound went into administration in January 2025, and the successor organization Boundless went into liquidation in mid-2025, making it seem unlikely that they would be publishing a book in late 2025/early 2026.
- A 2025-10-29 Substack post by the author states "The books have been printed, shipped and they arrived with me this morning!", but with a different cover from the Amazon-sourced image shown here (and also on Waterstones). An earlier post from 2025-08-01 states
"It's called The Ghost Camera and I think it's rather good. It was due to hit the shelves in October this year, I actually finished writing and editing it in 2023, so it's been a slow process. But, as some readers may know, Unbound came to a painful and grinding halt a few months ago, owing some authors a great deal of money (I'm owed about £200 so it's not too painful for me). Equally importantly the collapse of the company resulted in letting down a large number of supporters of various books that Unbound had coming up. Including mine. So, I am now in the process of trying to dig out the list of supporters for The Ghost Camera, I will get the book printed at my own expense and will happily send anyone who coughed up for the book a pristine, signed copy."
which implies those copies are not the same as this publication.
