No date on copyright page, just:
- "This book is copyright and no portion of it may be reproduced without the written consent of its publisher"
- "PANTHER BOOKS are Printed in Great Britain and Published by HAMILTON & CO. (STAFFORD) LTD."
Tuck says published in 1953. Both Contento and Cole's Checklist of Science Fiction Anthologies say published May 1954. Lending credence to the later date, two of the stories were first published in 1953 magazines (Chad Oliver's "The Shore of Tomorrow" in the March 1953 Startling Stories, and Kris Neville's "It Pays to Advertise" in the June 1953 F&SF.)
