At initial publication in the year 1973 five different editions were published (see the Ordinary Edition for details). Whether they differ in any way bibliographically (i.e. alternate binding, different page count) remains to be determined.

Statement: 2,500 copies (...) have been printed, of which 2,250 are for sale. Of the copies for sale, 180 copies are signed and numbered, and divided into 4 editions.

  • Edition A: 1 copy only. Signed by Anthology contributors, and accompanied by all Festival and Anthology correspondence. Edition A includes a number of author's manuscripts. Price on request.
  • Edition B: 34 numbered copies (2-35) signed by Anthology contributors. Numbers 12-35 only are for sale: ₤10 per copy.
  • Edition C: 70 numbered copies (36-105) signed by the Anthology poets. Numbers 56-105 only are for sale at ₤6 per copy.
  • Edition D: 75 numbered copies (106-180) signed by the Anthology writers. Numbers 131-180 only are for sale at ₤6 per copy.

On the tp as well as on the bc 'Ceolfrith 24' is printed, 24 is assumed to be the catalogue no.
Helmut Wenskes' real name is Helmut Wenske, altered presumably through a misreading.
