Soviet Science Fiction

It is not clear if this title should be divided into a 1962 and 1966 edition. The 1966 edition (4th printing) states "With a new introduction by Isaac Asimov" and the introduction mentions that the story A Visitor from Outer Space had a footnote that was longer than the original story and that it "... has been mercifully omitted from the present edition". The copyright though for the 4th printing just says 1962 and so it's not clear if this reference to a new introduction and removal of the footnote (plus there may be other changes) were done in 1962, 1966, or some date in between. This anthology was a reprint of A Visitor from Outer Space published by Moscow: Foreign Languages Publishing House, 1961 and so it's possible some of these changes were done between the original and Collier editions. {{Tr|Violet L. There are at least two printings of this edition with different colors used on the cover; one as shown here with yellow planet and cosmonauts with a blue satellite, the other with a bright green planet and cosmonauts and olive green satellite.
The interior pages are identical.
