- "Edited by Paul Williams" stated on the title page.
- No statement of edition, but there is a complete number line on the copyright page: "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 /. 01 00 99 98 97".
- No stated date of publication (other than the year stated on the number line.) Month of publication is from Locus1.
- The copyright page contains complete Library of Congress Cataloging in Publication Data including the LCCN as 94-21610. This is a misprint of 97-21610.
- "Cover art by (over) Cover and book design by Paula Morrison" stated on the copyright page. It is believed by the verifier that the cover artist is not Paula Morrison (who designed the other volumes in the series) and that the cover art credit was mistakenly omitted. There is no visible signature.
- "Maturity" was extensively revised after its magazine appearance. The second half of the original version is printed at the end of this book.
- Williams mistakenly gives the original publication of "Well Spiced" as in Zane Grey's Western Magazine, February 1949, when it was actually printed in the February 1948 issue.
