In all of the DAW editions Poul Anderson is credited on the spine and in the upper/right of the title page but did not write any new material for this collection. Roger Elwood is not credited on the cover nor spine but does get credited as the editor in the Foreword, title page, and the copyright (1974) is assigned to him.
- "First Edition" so stated on copyright page.
- Cover artist from the rear jacket flap.
- Although the Foreword page number in the index is given as v, there are no pages with Roman numerals.
- "Tomorrow's Children" was coauthored by F. N. Waldrop, he is not credited.
- Gordon R. Dickson, who co-authored "The Sheriff of Canyon Gulch", is credited in the heading to the story.
