This is the last of seven early English-language selection-translations listed in the Encyclopedia of Fantasy biographical entry by John Clute (quote, emphasis added):
He wrote three cycles of literary Fairytales – "Die Karavane" ["The Caravan"], "Der Scheik von Allesandria und seine Sklaven" ["The Sheikh of Alexandria and his Slaves"] and "Das Wirthshaus im Spessart" ["The Inn in the Spessart"] – published in three Märchenalmanache (anth 1826; anth 1827; anth 1828), selections from which have been variously translated as [... 6 others deleted ...] and Hauff's Tales (coll trans 1905 UK).
