Edition of 200 copies. The title page shown by Bloomsbury House Auctions shows the title as: "The Story of the Glittering Plain or the Land of Living Men". "Originally intended to be illustrated by Walter Crane, but, as Crane later recalled, 'he was so eager to get his first book out that he could not wait for the pictures, and so the Glittering Plain first appeared simply with his own initials and ornaments'...Hence in 1894 Morris produced another edition of the book (see A22) - the only Kelmscott Press title to be printed twice - with illustrations by Crane".
