Alpha Centauri or Die!

An enlargement of "Teleportress of Alpha C" (Planet Stories, Winter 1954-55). Per Leigh Brackett article in www.sf-encyclopedia.com, the "main story" in this fix-up novel is Brackett's novella "The Ark of Mars C" (Planet Stories, September 1953.) The "Ark of Mars" segment forms the first part of the novel with minor edits. The "Teleportress of Alpha" segment had more substantial edits; it generally follows the original text, but with more additions and revisions.

Only date on copyright page is a 1963 date for the original publication. • Artist credit from Ian Summers' Tomorrow and Beyond. Some copies have the artist's signature on the right edge, bottom, of the cover. Other copies have that signature partially or totally cut off.
