The Moon Maid

Not to be confused with the 1926 omnibus of the same title which included this story plus "The Moon Men" and "The Red Hawk".
This story was originally published as a five-part serial in Argosy All-Star Weekly, beginning on May 5, 1923.
It was reprinted as "Conquest of the Moon", a four-part serial in Modern Mechanics & Invention, beginning in November, 1928.
It's first separate book publication was the 1962 Ace paperback edition.

This publication is not a reprint of the original collection; it only contains the novel The Moon Maid. Tuck shows this publication as published in 1963 under the Burroughs entry, but shows it published in 1962 under the Ace entry. Library of Congress information also claims 1962. Currey, Reginald and Clute all have 1962. Cover art and title-page illustration by Roy Krenkel, Jr. on copyright page, interior piece has the initials RGK Edgar Rice Burroughs: The Descriptive Bibliography of Ace and Ballantine / Del Rey Paperback Books lists two variants at different addresses which may explain the date differences. This publication has the address 23 West 47th Street.
