While the publication states it's a November 2007 first printing it most likely was released in October 2007 based on the DAW Books Collectors Number. The on-sale-by date is October 30, 2007 meaning that perhaps this was delayed after the book number had been assigned. The DAW press release for the book specifies an Oct. 30 "On-Sale" date.
There is an uncredited title page illustration of a cat playing with a mouse that's also used at the start of each chapter. It is quite likely the illustrator was the author's husband, Larry Dixon, who has been credited for illustrating some of her stories.
