This an original collection of three new novellas in the "Time Patrol" series, with three short interstitial pieces.

• "First edition: September 1990" stated on the copyright page with a complete number line: "0 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1".
• Locus1 has the month as August.
• The copyright page contains the complete Library of Congress Cataloging in Publication Data including the year of publication (1990), the ISBN (0-312-85088-3), and the LCCN.
• "Designed by Diane Stephenson/SNAP-HAUS GRAPHICS" stated on the copyright page.
• "Jacket art by Vincent Di Fate" | "Jacket design by Carol Russo" printed on the back flap of the dustjacket.
• Subtitled "A Novel of the Time Patrol" on the front of the dustjacket, this is actually a collection of three previously-unpublished novellas, with three short pieces of connecting material. All six pieces are given equal weight and labeled as a "Part" on the contents page and on their individual title page.
