Reginald1, Clute/Grant and the 3rd (web) edition of The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction refer to this as an expanded edition. Only the last has the correct date of the original publication as part of The Collected Works of Ambrose Bierce
First published with 42 stories. Some later editions cut the last 18 of these stories.

Bleiler's Science-Fiction: The Early Years or The Guide to Supernatural Fiction give the date as 1909, which may refer to the copyright date. The earliest copy in Worldcat is 1910. The full text and images of this edition are available at The Internet Archive.
