- The poem "The Leopard" isn't listed in the TOC (or on Locus 1). It's not included in the acknowledgements, or the publication history of the previously published stories, or the Rynosseros bibliography at the back. It doesn't have another author's name below it as such an item would normally if by another. Thus assumed to be by Dowling. The poem can be read as being a veiled reference to the protagonist of the stories.
Note also, that Dowling published a poem with this name in 1991. No indication in Rynemonn that it's the same, though the 1991 date is within the writing span of the series. - The nine "Doing the Line" items are linking short fiction segments which form a story in its own right.
