Where one would normally be (on the recto of the copyright page), there is a "Dear Reader" letter from editor Lou Aronica, who is otherwise uncredited in the body of the work. Title is given as "The Bantam Spectra Sampler" on the spine, "The Spectra Sampler" on the back cover, and "Spectra Sampler" on copyright page. No title appears on the front cover, which just says "Free Sampler", the Spectra logo, and "An Introduction to Eight Remarkable Works of Imaginative Fiction". The Locus Index says "Special promotional book, distributed free at the ABA and various bookstores..." "Waldenbooks" is printed at the bottom on back of the PV 2 copy, which is the bookstore from which it was distributed. Cover is copyrighted to Graphic Associates.
