It is my opinion that - despite the subtitle of the first edition being "An Anthology of Original Speculative Fiction" - a couple of the stories (the Emshwiller and the Wein) are not "speculative fiction" in the ISFDB sense. ...clarkmci
- First printing, as per number line.
- The Introduction, "decorations", and all the stories are © 2009. The cover art is © 2008.
- Publication month is from Amazon US, Locus1 and also the Penguin US website.
- $25.00 in Canada (from dust jacket front flap).
- Cover artist from the back flap.
- ISBN-13 (only) on the back of the dust jacket. Interestingly, an ISBN isn't stated on the copyright page.
- Each story is followed by about half a page of information about the author, plus a half to one and a half page "Author's Note" with background on the story.
- One of the stories ("The Ghosts of Strangers") has a title page followed by a full page illustration. The others don't have title pages and have a small illustration at the head.
- The text is well-spaced. This and the above 2 points were taken into account when estimating story "length".
