Vol. 1, No. 1. Cover art not credited. Avram Davidson's story "Jack Be Nimble Jack Be Quick Jack Jump Over the Candlestick" is credited as "Jack Be Nimble -- Jack Be Quick Jack Jump Over the Candlestick" in the table of contents. H. P. Lovecraft's "The Horror at Red Hook" is billed as "Horror at Red Hook" on the cover, but the full title is given in the table of contents and on the title page. In a number of cases the same illustration is used twice in different places within the story and in the case of "The Horror at Red Hook" the same artwork is used six times. There is a brief untitled article on the front end paper addressed to "Dear Reader" and signed "The Editors".
