Distributed to members of the SFWA. Side-stapled, printed on both sides of each page. Front three pages not numbered, then numbers are 1A through 1F (with an extra page 1C2), 2 through 37, AA through AZ, AZ1 through AZ10, 4 unnumbered pages (shown as AZ11 through AZ14), and finally BA through BQ. The letter section is titled "The Mortal Storm" and contains the pages numbered Axxx. The section titled "The Back of the Book" contains the pages numbered Bxxx. The page numbering occurred because of piecemeal submission of the parts. Cover art has initials "JAK", but is otherwise unattributed. Interior art on page BG is signed "Cochran". Back cover is unnumbered and is an advertisement.
