Thrilling Wonder Stories
After Beacon Magazines purchased Wonder Stories from Hugo Gernsback in 1936, it converted the magazine to a juvenile. Later, when Sam Merwin took over as editor in 1945, he dropped those juvenile leanings. Later companion magazines were Startling Stories, which published long novels, Captain Future, Strange Stories, Fantastic Story Magazine, and Space Stories. Thrilling Wonder Stories was merged with Startling Stories in 1955, which then lasted three more issues and died.
