Galaxy Bookshelf

The book review department of Galaxy was revived after a two year hiatus with the Feb. 1965 issue with Algis Budrys as the reviewer under the title: Galaxy Bookshelf. The earlier department that ran from Oct. 1950 to Dec. 1963 had appeared under the title: Galaxy 5 Star Shelf. The new department by Budrys was distinguished by longer reviews running up to several pages for a smaller number of books. The second appearance of the department in the Apr. 1965 issue had a subsection heading for Science Books that was written by Frederik Pohl.
