Time at the Top

Susan Shaw lives in a 6-story apartment building with her widowed father. In 1960 she takes the elevator to the 7th floor(!) and visits the world of 1881.--twice in the first book. In the sequel, she takes her father along on a third visit, and they are never again seen in the 1960s, except in an old photograph.
