Circle of Magic / The Wizard Apprentice
- Books 7 and 8 were published as by "Debra Doyle and James D. Macdonald". However, as per Macdonald's communication with {{SFE}}, they were written by an unidentified author. Doyle and Macdonald were neither informed about nor paid for these two books.
- Originally published in 1990 by Troll as the Circle of Magic series in 6 volumes.
- Re-issued by Troll from 2000, again as the Circle of Magic in 6 volumes, but with some title changes. (Possibly just new covers and front matter based on a sample of 1.)
- UK editions published by Hodder from 2001 as "The Wizard Apprentice" series. (Possibly just new covers and front matter.)
- Australian editions published by Hodder Headline Australia from ? (2003?), again as "The Wizard Apprentice" series. They seem to be taken from the UK editions (possibly just new back covers cf UK editions, and updated copyright page info based on a sample of 1). The National Library of Australia catalogue indicates that there might have been a set of 2002 Australian editions, and a 2003 set with different ISBNs.
- Two extra volumes published by Hodder (2003) (possibly as WHSmith-exclusive promotional items), and by Hodder Headline Australia (2004). These 2 seem not to have been published in the US.
- Amazon Canada shows some French language editions.
- Series name in French is: Le cercle magique
- Series name in Ukrainian is: Магічне коло (Magic Circle)
